$DIGI; all you need to know.
Hey there, guys! My name is Abdulqudus, and you are welcome to another session with me. Like I said last time, today we will briefly talk about The DigiVerse’s token ($DIGI).
The DIGI token, apart from LAND, is the digital asset of the DigiVerse. It is a fungible token powered by the blockchain. As it would naturally come to mind, the DIGI token is utilised to carry out the transactions and pay for services rendered on the DigiVerse. Also, like we discussed in the previous piece, it is burned to claim LAND on the platform as well.
As a supply rule, there are only 100,000,000,000 DIGI available and there are a number of ways in which DigiVarians could earn some of them. They could produce and sell NFTs to earn money. They could also build software on the land and maybe rent out their land to increase the value.
The importance and relevance of the DIGI token on the platform cannot be overemphasised. The token can be used to a host of activities, including the following;
Stake/hold to earn rewards: DigiVarians can stake $DIGI to earn rewards, or they could simply hold them in their wallets and still earn. That way, they get to profit from the smart tax system employed based on the amount of $DIGI they hold in their respective wallets.
Participate in the Governance of the DigiVerse: Holding the token avails a user the right to vote on prominent decisions related to DigiVerse’s development.
Buy assets: DigiVarians can use their DIGI token to mint and purchase NFT assets.
Earn rewards: DigiVarians can earn even more DIGI tokens through a host of incentive mechanisms put into place like bounty programmes, airdrops, and other rewards set up for build-to-earn, socialize-to-earn, live-to-earn, and so on.
